My love of photography began at the age of 10, when my parents gave me my first camera. I quickly saw that capturing a special moment or just that perfect shot could be viewed for many years to come. From school events to birthday parties, or just photographing my friends, I just wanted to capture the moment.
When I became a mother, my favorite subject became my children. I captured their first steps, birthday parties, and sporting events. As they grew so did my love for photography. I began to capture memories for family and friends, school and social events, landscape and nature. I never went any place without my camera. You never know when the moment arrives for A Perfect Shot.
While wanting a change in my career, my husband Les told me “Do something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life”. I took his advice and began ‘A Perfect Shot Photography’.
I began to take classes, attend workshops and seminars to improve my skills. I continue to learn everyday. Along with my youngest son Derrick, we specialize in portraiture photography on location and capturing social events.
A photograph never grows old. You and I change all through the months and years, but a photograph always remains the same. How nice to look at a photograph of mother or father taken many years ago . You see them as you rememember them. But as people live on, they change completely. Since some of our best family gatherings are spent going through old photos.
